Self-Reliance

Patience and Caring

On the following essay, you're going to be reviewing whether the two values of patience and caring are present in the story by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Self-Reliance".
In this story Ralph Waldo talks about trusting yourself, accept who you are, what you have and what god gives you day through day. First of all, caring is the process of protecting someone or something and providing what that person or thing needs, serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk, it is also feel concerned or interested.
I think the value of caring is present in the story cause, this text it's mostly about caring about yourself , not focus about what people say about you, and don't let it and their opinions hurt your own thoughts and feelings. In life you'll always find people like this who would like to take you down, they will always disparage your duty. He says that is better and more easier to live by your own in solitude, but the best type of person is the one who lives amongst a crowd and stays in perfect state as its own self . But the value is also reflected in the story in a more anti way, cause he focuses on that you should care about yourself, but he also states that you shouldn't care about your surroundings and let go with the flow of life, not to pay attention to  to the people who do not support you or try to change you, or try to decide what you should do with your own life.
Patience is the value that means the ability to wait, or to continue doing something despite difficulties, or to suffer without complaining or being annoyed. This value is not as explicit as caring, but I think is also present in the story of self-reliance. The author says that the other terror besides self trust is our consistency and for being a consistent person you in a very indirectly way need to be patient. The quality of achieving a level of performance which does not vary greatly in quality over time, so you need to be patient about it. Also, how people get mortified about their past acts or words cause people are always reminding their mistakes and dragging people down with their comments and profanities. The community sometimes can be a little or a lot hurtful or mean with society.
In conclusion we can say the author's main focus on this text is to truly relay on our own thoughts and beliefs, to trust in ourselves, what he is trying to communicate can be received in very different ways depending on your perspective, it can be referred to many values, but in this case to the values of patience and caring, both of these important values can make someone's character about itself, it can built the personality of someone and make it more sure about its own, and my that's what the author its trying to encourage the spectators of this written piece, to accept ourselves as we are and accept that we were put on the earth, at this exact place, and exact time for some sort of purpose that god has for us.
